Sendero GPS honored at International Consumer Electronics Show

BrailleNote GPS Version 2 to be honored at 2004 International Consumer Electronics Show

DAVIS, CA, (December 15, 2003) - Sendero Group LLC will be honored at this coming year's International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the Innovations Design and Engineering Showcase in the Accessibility category for it's development on BrailleNote GPS. BrailleNote GPS makes travel independence a reality for blind and visually impaired individuals.

BrailleNote Global Positioning System (GPS) uses the latest GPS Technology and detailed street maps along with the BrailleNote, a Personal Data Assistant for blind and visually impaired individuals to deliver important navigational information, such as directions, street names, and points of interest. Sendero Group's President and CEO, Mike May, has been working on this technology since 1994 and is committed to providing accessible location information to blind and visually impaired individuals. May has been involved in two CES innovations award. The first was the Finial Laser Turntable in 1987.

"Accessible location information greatly increases independent travel for me and blind people worldwide," May said. Sendero Group is the industry's leading developer of Global Positioning System devices for blind and visually impaired individuals.

BrailleNote GPS will receive worldwide recognition at the 2004 International CES in Las Vegas, January 8-11. The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the world's largest annual tradeshow for consumer technology and America's largest annual tradeshow of any kind. The first CES took place in New York City in June of 1967 with 200 exhibitors and 17,500 attendees. Since then, CES has grown more than seven-fold. More than 2,200 exhibitors, filling 1.2 million net square feet of exhibit space, showcased their latest products and services to more than 117,000 attendees at the 2003 International CES.
